I am passionate about – and very experienced in – providing groups in the community, healthcare and in education (both formal and informal) with opportunities for wellbeing through participatory music-making. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you work with a client group who would benefit from a tailored music project, course or one-off workshop.
I love to tailor music projects to the needs, wishes and goals of client groups – so please contact me at email@example.com to discuss any ideas for bespoke projects. My previous website listed projects I’ve delivered but unfortunately was hacked, so when I have some time I will update this page to include examples the sorts of projects I am experienced in delivering.
Facilitating group improvisation in an accessible, safe and approachable way with a wellbeing focus is a particular passion of mine – so much so that I’ve begun PhD study on this topic. I have been trained as a facilitator by the fantastic Dr. Rod Paton in the Lifemusic method, which informs all my community music and teaching practice.
Music in Healthcare
I have been trained by the brilliant Opus Music to deliver Music in Healthcare Settings – live interactive music for wellbeing – which I delivered from 2015 – 2016 along with two other musicians in the Children’s Ward and A & E department at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. This was extremely rewarding work which brings its own set of unique challenges and opportunities for reflection and professional development. I feel extremely privileged to be in a position to be able to work as a Musician in Healthcare.
